tkd@tkdottawa.com webmaster@tkdottawa.com (613) 899-3456		Our owners and staff are members of both the World Taekwondo Association ( WTF ), and the International Taekwondo Association, WTF is the only Taekwondo Federation that is recognized by the National Olympic Committee. Our instructors are highly qualified, accredited individuals with many years' experience in teaching mixed classes which often include young children as well as disabled individuals. Training at our school can start as early as age four but will always depend on the maturity of the individual child. We try to encourage our upcoming students to prepare themselves to be the next leaders and instructors and as such offer leadership training as well as yearly leadership retreat camps where we can focus on training the leaders of tomorrow. At our academy, we focus on the complete personal development of each student, by providing group and individual instruction. We believe in building self-confidence and self-esteem through our instruction. Individual attention is a feature of every class, allowing all students to progress at their own pace with confidence towards their personal goals. We do not promote a military style of teaching but at the same time we do expect all our students to do their best. The students physical condition as well as personal habits and behavior are taken into consideration when setting goals and milestones in their programs as they work towards their Black Belt. Our instructors strive to be positive role models for all of our students, incorporating the teaching of strong character, leadership, good citizenship and good values into each class.
